XXL is a hip-hop powerhouse. Competing magazines like the Source and Vibe are good, but I like how XXL throws everything into the mix-- music, fashion, politics, entertainment. XXL keeps me updated on all of the latest hip hop news from unreleased bangers and new collaborations. I know I can trust the album reviews since the editors have good taste when it comes to hip hop, with their ratings on a scale from "S" (poor) to "XXL" (classic). Plus, the people at XXL know how to keep up with the game and how it continues to evolve... they aren't stuck in the past, yet at the same time they stay true to the roots of hip hop music.
